Experience & Credentials  Mrs. Brown is a former Chair of the South Carolina Family Court Section, and under her leadership, the Family Law Council published the first edition of the South Carolina Family Law Tool Kit 2003.
She is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Bar Association Family Law Section, South Carolina Bar Association, the Charleston County Bar Association, the Charleston County Family Court Section (former Secretary-Treasurer), and the South Carolina Women's Lawyer Association. Mrs. Brown is a certified Family Court mediator having been certified by the South Carolina Supreme Court Board of Arbitration and she is a member of the Academy of Family Mediators.

Melissa Brown is widely published and teaches Continuing Legal Education courses for the South Carolina Bar and the American Bar Association Family Law Section.
